We appreciate our librarians at West Noble, and the work they do to keep our minds moving, our curiosity peaking, and our knowledge expanding.
Thank you, librarians!

They aren't in the classroom today, so to speak, but they are vital to how our classrooms function. And they are a Godsend to our teachers who have the opportunity to work with them.
Thank you, paraprofessionals!

They put in the miles on their feet, so the bus put in some miles on the tires.
West Noble Elementary's Walking Club had it's 75-mile achievers on the bus this morning for Garrett and the JAM Center for a (mostly) swim party!
It's the annual reward for the Walking Club milestone, with the JAM Center hosting swimming, gym time, and more swimming, along with time for lunch. As you may deduce from the photos, guess where the bulk majority of the time was spent today...

We know a lot of you have the West Noble app, but a lot of you don't!
If you haven't added the app to your phone, you are missing out on quite a bit. Notifications about school delays and cancellations, live feeds from our social media, lunch menus, school calendars and updates, staff directories, pictures, news stories about positive happenings at our schools, and on and on.
If you want to stay up-to-date with all things West Noble, download the app...it's FREE! It will make your life easier.

A new positive initiative West Noble is putting into practice is something superintendent Dr. Lowe is endorsing as "Spotlight on Success". This recognizes entities of our school corporation who are going above and beyond to make West Noble a great place to learn and grow. This actually began in January in highlighting Hank Willems and the Work Based Learning program, and in February with our Student Resource Officers Chris Shearer and Grant Moser.
This past Monday at the school board meeting, the Technology Department for West Noble School Corporation was the Spotlight, showcasing not only the roles of the five whom work within, but some of the programs and perks that help our students and staff function at a high level, in and out of the classroom. Congrats to director Mike Burke and his staff on being March's Spotlight on Success!

West Noble students hit the road to Allen County this week.
Sra. Bartlett's high school Spanish classes had the chance to see an authentic Flamenco dance performance at the Presbyterian Theater in downtown Fort Wayne. Meanwhile, the fourth graders visited the Embassy Theater in just down the road in Fort Wayne to take in the Taiko Project, a Japanese-American drum ensemble, which allowed some of West Noble's students and staff to actually partake in the action onstage.
West Noble will have a couple additional stops in Fort Wayne in the coming week, stay tuned!

West Noble Elementary's second grade classes took a packed house Tuesday night to the Wacky, Wacky West for its spring concert and art show.
The hallways were filled with artwork representing pieces influenced by famous creators Jackson Pollock, Paul Klee and Claude Monet, which led into the gymnasium, where students were dressed in western wear. An eight-song set began with "Whacky Whacky West" and concluded with a fair wave for "Happy Trails".
Kudos once again to WNE art instructor Tammy Bieberich and music instructor Hayley Hostetler for their dedication and guidance to yet another spectacular production! Great work, everyone!

Today is a Flex Day for the West Noble School Corp. Kids are working on eLearning assignments while staff members have been involved in team meetings, online tutorials and an informal learning session with Carrie Hoffman from Parkview Health regarding the new Shared Clinic for West Noble Schools. Specifically for the clinic, this is a new benefit for West Noble staff and their families to help with medical needs. Hoffman answered questions ranging from the clinic benefits, how it relates to insurance, what types of services can be rendered, and fielded direct questions from employees.
The kids aren't on campus today, but it was still a busy day with our staff and we continue to learn and grow!
